Clay Center resident Bernard Jackson, 77, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, at Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, NE. Private services will be conducted at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center, NE. Private Inurnment will follow at the Clay Center Cemetery. In honoring his wish to be cremated there will not be visitation or viewing. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later. Bernard was born April 5, 1942, in Fairfield, NE to George and Sophie (Deluge) Jackson. He received his education in Clay Center, NE. Bernard was employed at the M.A.R.C. for 38 years. On December 23, 1961, he married Diane Jackson until her passing in 2009. Diane and Bernard were blessed with 2 sons, Brian and Darren. He is survived by his sons, Brian and wife Emelie Jackson of York, NE; Darren and wife Marila of Lodi, WI; grandchildren, April and fiancé James; Stacia and husband Vaughn; Nikki and significant other Aaron; Molly and husband Josh; Cheyanne and husband Cameron; and Mouriella; great-grandchildren, Kendall; Collyns; Hunter; Seamus; and Cambree. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; his parents, George and Sophie; brother, Ervin and sister, Gaylene.
