Former Sutton, NE., resident Walter Davis, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Azria Health Broadwell in Grand Island, NE. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE., with Major Jay Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton, NE. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Services will be live-streamed from Sutton Memorial Chapel's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/suttonmemorial beginning at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Walter Oscar Davis was born March 22, 1943, in Grand Island NE to Walter N. and Marion A. Davis. He received his education at Grand Island Public School. He married Lois Horner on June 5, 1962. He was employed in various positions, was a hardworking and multi-talented man with various experiences in many fields. However, his favorite was his last position operating a food wagon. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Road Runner motorcycle club, served in National Guard and participated in RFD TV’s World’s Largest Parade of Classic Tractors at the Nebraska State Fair. He is survived by daughters Clarissa (Scott), Connie (Jerry), Coletta (Mark), Lois (Rick). Grandchildren Jason, Joann, Matthew, Nathanial, Kimberly, Nicole, Alvin, Alisha, Codi, Breanna, two brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marion, grandson Si.
