Kimberly Ann (Gowen) Wilson

Sutton, NE., resident Kimberly Ann (Gowen) Wilson, 58, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home in Sutton, NE. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Sutton, NE., with Rev. Tim Stacy officiating. Inurnment will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Stockholm Lutheran Cemetery near Shickley, NE. In honoring her wish to be cremated there will not be a visitation or viewing. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated later. Services will be live-streamed from Sutton Memorial Chapel's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/suttonmemorial beginning at 10:30 a.m. Kim was born on September 2, 1962, in Hastings, NE at Mary Lanning Hospital. She was the daughter of Gordon and Doris (Peterson) Gowen of Sutton. Kim graduated from Sutton High School in 1981. She went on to graduate from Doane College in Crete with a BA in Music. On November 6, 1993, she was married to William Wilson in Bellevue, NE. To this union two children, Clinton (Clint) and Cassandra (Cassie) were born. Kim worked at various jobs which included real estate title companies and retail jobs. Her last years she spent in Sutton taking care of her mother. Throughout her life she liked to read, play the piano, sing, and ride horses. Her pride and joy were her kids. She enjoyed going to their sporting activities as well as band performances. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Sutton. She later was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bellevue, where she participated and led many different church activities. She is survived by her son, Clint Wilson and fiancé Morgan Dillon of Omaha, NE; daughter, Cassie Wilson of Bellevue, NE; stepson, JT Wilson and wife Michele of Council Bluffs, IA; stepdaughter, Candi Green and husband Tony of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren, Trey Green and Jacob Wilson; mother, Doris Gowen of Sutton, NE; sisters, Kathy Berkshire of Ralston, NE and Kolleen Whaley and husband Greg of Papillion, NE; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irene and Clinton Peterson and Clem and Hazel Gowen; her father, Gordon Gowen; her brother, Keith Gowen; and her sister, Karen Butler.
